To the firefighters who stood between the flames and Camp Boyle, thank you. ❤️
The wildfires across British Columbia have had a devastating impact on communities, families, and natural spaces this year. The Bald Range wildfire near Summerland also reached Camp Boyle, a place that has been part of countless Scouting adventures and memories over the years.
While the forest surrounding the camp has been deeply impacted, we are incredibly grateful that the camp’s main buildings are still standing.
We have since learned just how much work the BC Wildfire Service and other firefighters put into protecting Camp Boyle. Their determination, courage, and tireless efforts helped save these buildings, and we cannot thank them enough.
But our gratitude extends far beyond our camp. To every firefighter, first responder, emergency worker, and individual supporting wildfire response efforts across British Columbia and Canada, thank you for everything you do to protect people, communities, and the places we call home.
Our thoughts remain with everyone who has been impacted or displaced by this year’s wildfires.
