Southwest side of Beaconsfield Mountain in the Apex recreation area — hike, snowshoe, or ski in (no road access).
Upper Apex is a log building with spectacular views year-round. It is suited for winter activities such as cross-country and downhill skiing and snowshoeing. Cell coverage is available.
What’s included
Bunks for 6 (sleeping pads not provided) plus an open sleeping area on the second floor. A kitchen sink drains outside (water only). A large pot is provided to melt snow for washing — bring your own drinking water. Wood heat (see the wood usage policy in the terms and conditions). An axe, shovel, and propane lanterns are available (bring propane and replacement mantles).
This is an isolated cabin with minimal amenities. Proper preparation is essential. Upper Apex is currently closed and cannot be booked.
