Upper Apex Cabin

The Upper Apex cabin is a rustic log building located on Apex mountain. It is ideally suited for cross-country and down hill skiing, skating, snow shoeing and hiking. It is a large log cabin, there is no running water, (bring your own). Wood is provided for heating via wood stove, there is a propane cook stove, electric lighting, outdoor toilet (outhouse) with electric light, 3 hide-a-beds and a large upstairs area for approximately 20 youths with sleeping bags.

Facilities

The Upper Apex Cabin offers basic but comfortable accommodations including:

  • Wood stove for heating
  • Propane cook stove
  • Electric lighting
  • Outdoor toilet (outhouse) with electric light
  • 3 hide-a-beds
  • Large upstairs area for approximately 20 youths with sleeping bags

What to Bring

Since there is no running water, groups should bring:

  • Drinking water
  • Sleeping bags
  • Personal items
  • Food and cooking supplies
  • Warm clothing for winter activities
