Venturer Scouts Program
Venturer Scouts is the fourth level of Scouting for youth ages 15-17. Our program emphasizes self-directed adventure, leadership development, and personal growth through challenging experiences and meaningful service.

What We Do
Venturer Scouts participate in self-directed activities that build leadership and life skills:
- Major expeditions and adventure challenges
- Advanced outdoor skills and survival training
- Leadership roles in younger sections
- Community service and social action projects
- International Scouting opportunities
- Career exploration and life skills development
- Working towards the Queen's Venturer Award
Program Structure
Venturer Scouts meet in groups called "Companies" and are largely self-directed, with adult advisors providing guidance and support as needed. This structure encourages independence and leadership development.
Badges and Awards
Venturer Scouts can earn various badges and awards as they progress through the program, including:
- Personal Achievement Badges
- Activity Badges
- Special recognition for leadership and service
- Queen's Venturer Award (highest Venturer award)
- Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Getting Involved
To join the Venturer Scouts program, contact your local Scout Group. Most groups welcome new members throughout the year and will help you get started on your Scouting journey.
