Scouts Canada, the country's leading youth organization, offers challenging programs for boys, girls and youth age 5-26 in thousands of individual groups in most cities and towns across Canada.

Cubs

For children ages 8 - 10 years. Adventure and discovery are key elements of the Cub Scouts program.

Cub Scouts is the second level of Scouting for children ages 8-10. Our program emphasizes adventure, discovery, and personal development through exciting activities and challenges.

What We Do

Cub Scouts participate in exciting activities that build character and skills:

  • Outdoor adventures and camping trips
  • Hiking and nature exploration
  • Games and team-building activities
  • Learning practical outdoor skills
  • Community service projects
  • Working towards badges and awards
  • Leadership opportunities within the Pack

Program Structure

Cub Scouts meet in groups called "Packs" and are organized into smaller groups called "Sixes." Each Six is led by a Sixer (older Cub) and assisted by a Second, providing leadership opportunities for the youth members.

Badges and Awards

Cub Scouts can earn various badges and awards as they progress through the program, including:

  • Personal Achievement Badges
  • Activity Badges
  • Special recognition for leadership and service
  • Chief Scout's Award (highest Cub Scout award)

Getting Involved

To join the Cub Scouts program, contact your local Scout Group. Most groups welcome new members throughout the year and will help you get started on your Scouting adventure.
